Protecting Our Water Future: My Role in LASAN Water Reclamation

My work with LA Sanitation and Environment (LASAN) Water Reclamation is centered on ensuring the efficiency and compliance of our critical wastewater treatment infrastructureMy focus areas include process management, rigorous regulatory adherence, and dedicated project support.

Here is a closer look at my core responsibilities:
  • Optimizing Operations and Process Management: A core aspect of my role involves continually monitoring wastewater treatment processes to optimize operations and ensure peak performanceThis process management work includes specific tasks such as conducting facility inspections and developing wastewater models.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Reporting: I manage rigorous compliance with crucial environmental regulationsThis includes preparing and submitting detailed technical reports for agencies like the EPA and AQMDI also oversee essential compliance management documents, including Hot Work Permits, Lockout/Blockout (LOBO) policies, Special Plant Accommodations (SPA/RESPA), and ensuring contractors follow the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP).
  • Project Leadership and Coordination: I provide key project support and construction coordination for in-plant workMy responsibilities include reviewing plans and overseeing design-construction liaison efforts, such as the DCT Effluent Flow Meters and LA Glendale WRP Tertiary Filters ReplacementAdditionally, I cover specific maintenance tasks like manhole maintenance.
